Physical AI Takes Center Stage at COMPUTEX 2026: Carota Empowers "Robot Café" with Automotive-Grade OTA Technology to Drive Global RaaS Deployment

TAIPEI, Taiwan – June 2, 2026 – AI is no longer confined to chatbots and generative content; it has officially stepped into the physical world—and it’s even opening its own shops. Kickstarting today, the four-day COMPUTEX Taipei 2026 exhibition features the theme "AI Together." Drawing massive crowds at the World Trade Center (WTC) main entrance is a revolutionary Robot Café. Serving free, freshly brewed premium coffee, this robotic barista seamlessly integrates physical AI into everyday life, making it the undisputed focal point of the event.

Carota Co., Ltd. (Carota), backed by Taiwan's leading high-tech conglomerates, announced that this state-of-the-art robotic barista was developed by Singapore-based Sensory AI. By integrating modules from multiple international equipment giants, the robot automates the entire process from ordering and preparation to delivery. It serves a fresh cup of brewed coffee in under 60 seconds, with a capacity of 200 cups per hour. Through this collaborative exhibition, Carota demonstrates how physical AI transitions from the cloud into real-world commercial spaces, continuously evolving its AI algorithms and world models via Over-the-Air (OTA) software update technology.

Carota points out that the key to large-scale global deployment of physical AI lies in robust backend OTA updates and remote collaborative management capabilities. Taking the exhibition's robotic barista as an example, the system comprises distinct components: a coffee machine, a robotic arm, and syrup dispensers. Traditionally, program fixes or feature upgrades required individual, manual updates machine-by-machine. This resulted in high travel costs for technicians and prolonged downtime. With Carota’s OTA management system, updates can be dispatched rapidly by machine, group, or region—slashing operational time from hours to just minutes. Furthermore, should any network anomalies or programming bugs occur, the system automatically detects the issue and rolls back to the previous stable version in seconds, preventing machine downtime and ensuring zero business interruption.

To drive the adoption of physical AI applications, Carota is not only offering the robotic barista via a subscription model to Taiwanese enterprises and public venues but is also partnering with Newegg, the globally renowned tech e-commerce platform, to penetrate the North American market and promote Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS). Following the establishment of its U.S. subsidiary in Arizona last year—which delivers high-specification fleet management services for the semiconductor industry and builds a solid local foundation—Carota will now leverage Newegg’s brand influence and extensive channel resources in the North American tech-consumer market to accelerate the global expansion of physical AI services and Taiwanese software technology.

As Taiwan’s largest and China’s top three automotive OTA software providers, serving over 30 global OEM automakers, Carota is now extending its proven expertise to robotics. By launching the "Physical AI Lifecycle Management Platform," Carota is strategically positioning itself to capture the high-growth potential of the smart home, commercial, and industrial robotics markets of tomorrow.
